Auburn Community Church is honored to partner with Compassion International! Compassion's mission is to release children from poverty in Jesus' name. They are an unique organization because they partner with local churches around the world to help them provide children with the opportunity to rise above their circumstances. When you sponsor a child you donate $38 a month to provide for a child's physical, spiritual, social, and educational needs in the context of a local church project. The sponsorship program encourages healthy development for the child that ultimately impacts the entire family and community.

Hal Marmolejos is a member of Auburn Community Church who grew up in poverty in the Dominican Republic. Hal currently attends medical school in Auburn in hopes of one day launching an orphanage where he came from.
"My whole life changed when a family from America decided to look up my picture in one of these cards, and my brother's picture, to sponsor us. My older brother and I were able to receive an education that we could not have dreamed of receiving if it wasn’t for that sponsorship and the faithfulness of those people to us. Little did I know that at the time that was the venue that God would get me to where I am today."
