READ OUT LOUD AS A GROUP: Hebrews 6:13-20. Read it two or three times as a group. Use a different translation each time.

Spend 2 minutes in silent prayer. As you breathe deeply, reflect on the three points: Inconsistency, Uncertainty, and Family

After this, invite someone to close in prayer.

Q1 – Which of these three areas—Inconsistency, Uncertainty, or Family—feels most relevant to your struggle in anchoring yourself to Christ? Is there one you hadn’t realized was affecting you?

INCONSISTENCY –

Q2 – God isn’t surprised by our tendency to drift, yet when we do, our inconsistencies can make us question our standing before Him. Think of a time when you felt yourself drifting. What triggered that drift? Was it busyness, sin, complacency, or something else?

Q3 – What lies did you believe in that moment about yourself, about God, or about your relationship with Him? What truth from Scripture speaks directly to those lies?

Q4 – How have you seen God’s faithfulness in this area before? UNCERTAINTY

Q5 – Because your anchor is with Jesus, the hope you are tethered to is sure and unchanging. How do you react when you are hit with the uncertainty of life? Do you become anxious, try to control things, withdraw, or something else?

Q6 – How have you seen God’s faithfulness in this area before? FAMILY

Q7 – Have you made the anchor for your soul the anchor for your family’s story? Go around the room and name any areas where that is not the case or where God might be inviting you to act. Spend time praying as a group. Regardless of your role in your family, how can you make Jesus the anchor for your family?

Q8 – How have you seen God’s faithfulness in this area before?

CHALLENGE:
Over the next few weeks, we’ll prepare for Church at Home, where the entire church will be invited to practice the Sabbath together. Your challenge is to begin experimenting with Sabbath day in your own life and within your group. Experiment with your own Sabbath rhythms—commit to intentionally practicing Sabbath at least a few times before Church at Home on Sunday, March 30th.

As you practice Sabbath, incorporate solitude as a way to anchor yourself in God's love, whether through time in nature, prayer walks, or another practice that helps you connect if sitting still doesn’t resonate with you.
